North Yorks Art School was opened in January 2020 by Christopher Stephen Shaw, a couple of months before government forced businesses to close due to Covid-19.

 

Intermittent lockdowns followed but, whenever possible, the doors were open with people coming in to paint and draw.

 

Skip forward to Spring 2023 and things have changed.

 

North Yorks Art School has introduced new courses and workshops in addition to regular pay-as-you-go classes, welcoming over 100 people a week through the doors.

Autumn 2023 sees the expansion of North Yorks Art School into new locations throughout the UK with the launch of bookaclass.org.
