North Yorks Art School is an independent art school created by Chris Shaw – owner and organiser of a self-funded contemporary art space called Three Works.
Situated on Scarborough's South Cliff, North Yorks Art School and Three Works will operate under one roof on the corner of South Street.
Formerly BL Car Parts Centre run by Mr and Mrs Blades, the building has been completely refurbished and contains three immaculate galleries at the front of the building and a teaching facility at the back.
While Three Works will continue to bring an ambitious programme of international contemporary art to Scarborough, North Yorks Art School will place special emphasis on local artists, helping them hone and develop their skills.
North Yorks Art School will also help students produce excellent documentation of their work, promote online visibility and provide beautiful galleries in which to mount exhibitions.
